weekend o drinkin' and b days

friday eve was me, my bath and my couch. chilled out and finally ate garden grill 318 graham ave 718.384.8668 twas pretty damn tasty especially for takeout. i had a chicken souvlaki platter w a side of spinach pie. yumyum- everything was fresh to death and quite tasty.

saturday started out at teddy's 96 berry st between nth 8/9th 718.384.9787 (always delicious brunch and bloody mary's). w m and his bud sloan. i had my usual homemade chicken sausage patties w egg whites scrambled and a sizide of bacon. m's friend had a french toast sandwich! with ham and cheese between french toast and fries. it looked good, but i don't know sloan well enough to grab food off his plate (yet).

 

then it was off to day drink our faces off at the beer garden in astoria 2919 24th ave  718.274.4925 (after we all bitched about the fact that we were already next to the brklyn beer garden and begged the b day people to move their party- HA!). there was a queens vs. brooklyn battle of the bands that was quite amusing and a ton of people were out ta drink even though it was supposed to rain. it was good times and (good?) food served? i had some keilbasa and fries and had the retarded notion to order a strawberry crepe from this place!?? see what happens when i have a bloody mary first thing in the am and follow with 6 + beers?? yucky! 

we stopped for a quick dinner at fabiane's 142 n 5th (at bedford) 718.218.9632 i have only stopped here fora quick lunch/coffee before, never dinner but i must say the dinner was pretty tight! i never order strictly veggie and i just happened to want the veggie chili and the veggie lasagna. one of the guys we were with (who obviously doesn't know me very well) asked if i was a vegetarian- everyone else laughed but something told me since i was eating so out of character that there would be trouble! 

later it was right to continue the drinking and stop by a get together for v's b day at union pool 484 union ave (at meeker) 718.609.0484 this was an ill attempt to continue drinking as everyone i was with was already hung over from earlier. we tried our best to party on but as the pathetic group waned and my stomach started to gurgle we had to depart. apparently my body becomes quite confused when i eat strict vegetarian! then it started to pour and we held up in the house while folks listened to me whine about my tummy ache.

sunday we met o.g. and his sister and her friend at calle ocho 446 columbus ave (at 81st) 212.873.5025 this place was a scene! "brunch with a twist" according to o.g. its cuban style brunch w a sangria bar. about 6/8 flavors of fruity drunky sangria. all sweet and bacardi filled (perf for a day/night of prior eating drinking and stomach issues!) the food was damn good and george's sister allie and her homie amanda couldn't have been cuter. allie is a spitting image of her bro and has the same voice- only doesn't say things as vulgar as her counterpart. you need an rsvp here! peeps were in line for hours literally... thankfully o.g. had stumbled in the night before at 3am when they were in bar mode and made a reservation. 

then it was more b day festivities.... to fat cat on christopher st 75 christopher st (at 7th ave) 212.675.6056 this place is a billiars/open mic poetry reading frenzy (??) on a sunday at 4:30. there are tons of pool table, ping pong tables for days, 3 foosball table (people were to pussy to challenge me) and a indoor shuffle board type of table (m and i won against o.g. and amanda) or as g calls her man doo doo.... its a cute nickname called to her

 face- no worries she's aware. then i threw a tantrum for 16 handles and won! after that i felt like we had been on a tour of the world with so many types of foods/drinks/exhaustion etc.... 

now its monday! blah!
