draw SOMETHING

while the luster is wearing off, i will never get tired of my redic drawings that i forget about until someone plays me back. i think i am going to start a blog section of animals. here's the first installment. enjoy.

bklyn reppin

bklyn keeps steppin it up. cafe MOGADOR just opened on wythe and its so charming and cute and has a full bar + back patio. the food is great and is the same quality as its st marks spot in the citay. good martini's to boot. we had a cute waiter in training so i wont fault him for forgetting chris' salad, we ordered another giant salad plate too so maybe he thought we didn't need both.

shite weather this weekend

the weekend was meh at best. the weather didn't cooperate one bit and although I managed to go out friday night and get crunked a bit too quickly and go home by 1:30 I still had fun. that fun ruined me the entire of saturday and I didn't move from the house to go at it again! sunday I managed to crave a bloody mary and do some damage to brunch @ TEDDYS. we watched a really eerie and depressing flick sunday which I think contributed to my funk of a mood today. I can't say I advise watching melancholia w kirsten duntz (or k CUNTZ as I refer to her) and kieffer sutherland. its a bummer but kinda sorta is shot nicely…? that’s about all I have to sy I'm slightly traumatized for some reason. OH- I did make it to 7-11 where I learned how lovely the nacho bar is! CHILI and CHEESE hot toppings, jalapenos, tomatos, onion… I was a happy chubby walking back home w those and my big gulp. i also think my angry panda on drawsome is hilar.

had dinner w vanessa and jake (rad dude that runs sh*t @ BULLET, the only mag worth perusing these days) at GEMMA. it was quite fantastic. i despise popular manhattan "hot spots" where you know you'll have wait 45 mins to sit and they are snots at the hostess stand... (REALLY bitch - all you do is control when and where i sit/dine. wait, ok, i guess they do have me by the_____). BUT if you eat between 6:30-7:30 most of the cools haven't arrived yet, bc come on- cool people don't eat dinner before 8:30 or 9. we had a meat & cheese plate (murhahahah jake and i did bc v is a veg) an artichoke salad that was great; thin shaved rather than the chubby artichokes i was expecting. and v and i shared a side of spinach (cooked perfectly) and eggplant mezzaluna or some shit. it was soooo tasty. it was like a veggie lasagna w some of the best tomato sauce i have ever....

CHAMPION COFFEE was had this am which i haven't had in months bc i used to meet v there when she had no car.

i saw this couple on my drive home from manhattan yesterday. i thought this old lady was stylin and cheerful. they were a cute couple, i hope this is me and my man one day- old and hip.

it was finally done this weekend. i had the loco taco made w a dorito's shell from taco bell. heaven in a shell. noms

prior to this, it was evident that spring in brooklyn has sprung. it was a lovely sunday for [hipster] drinking at MOLE and BERRY PARK along w a stroll thru mccarren [dog] park. there were tons of cute pups out that chris and i (and matt and james and peter and mike) gawked at. aside from day drinkin on sunday i was super lazy all friday night and saturday night and stayed in.

this giant pretzel came from studio square in LIC. its a huge beer garden w a pretty decent grill and rad happy hour.

i also finally tried diamond in greenpoint. really cute, pleasant and a great out back space. its close to the apt and the owner has a real cute boston terrier.

a chill weekend but some stuff to report on none the less

friday am started w a 9am visit to studio 54 for dancing, drugs and recklessness (or a 9am meeting in the city near studio 54)

friday night I hung out w mr s on the couch and watched fast and furious (where upon I coined the term 'fat & furious) I also watched inside man w denzel and clive own (good flick)

saturday I had the amazing and standard teddy's brunch where I ordered french toast for desert. walked the bk hood and took hipster pics; then stayed in w cc and watched election (bc he'd never seen) and straight chilled. oh and my fellow nashvillian corey played in the band for JACK WHITE on SNL!!

sunday we ventured into new brunch territory and tried betto on n 8th (its right by teddy's so I felt like I was cheating a lil). the food at betto was hipster chic and kinda pricey but it was delish. I had the arugla and spec flatbread w 2 frida eggs (everything was cooked perf) the bloody mary was phenom and had some magic dust in it that got me hyper drunk and spurred on a mini (sunday) bar crawl. we downed beers at rat bar on n 5th and bedford and not sure what got into me on a sunday but the beers continued @ 1018 manhattan where we played scene it? (yes c whooped my arse). OH, and we had to kick a homeless squatter out when we got to my place (but I snapped a pic of him first).
