speed blogging

so busy at work no time to blog. i get slightly antsy or anxious if i don't so i'll quickly update from the weekend:

perhaps i didn't blog yesterday bc i'd rather refrain from recalling the following:

+ hurling in the streets of manhattan
+ yacking in the mcdonald's drive thru lane in bushwick
+ forgetting my building code!?? (4 times)
+ all of this in front of someone i'd much rather NOT
+ dancing on table
+ drinking lots of cava
+ eating lots of thai and pizza

hmmm- did i miss anything? don't think so! one classy babe this weekend! cheers and let the next weekend come bc this week/end is busy with more shows than i've been to in one year all in this one week: tom petty! the national, nas/damien marley!

ny improv

this is dope and the costumes are NO joke.

a friend (jack) at work sent this to me, he received it from another work buddy (alex) and then told alex that he sent it me bc i love star wars. alex knows this and replied yes, i know "star wars and bacon"... jack says that's what should be on my tombstone- i agree.

oh fiore

again- ate like a queen (which i hve no biz doing these days financially and skinny jeans-wise).
BUT twas well worth it! how i have never been to fiore 284 grand st (btw havemeyer and roebling) 718.782.8222 i will never know.... i went w chris (thanks chris) who i shall go with EVERY time since his buddy hooked it up and made me even more of a glut then yooje. comp prosecco, bruschetta, and a GIANT tiramisu (good LORD). to die for and the bill... cheap. we tipped approx 60% and were super full! yum can't believe i had not had it til last night! it's lovely inside with an impressive wine stash and cute cozy dim lit decor and a big back space that they are working on and should be super chill.

cali love

san diego and the visit w the fam is always beautiful (and insane). the weather sucked (60's and total cloud) but being w the serkins brightens any day correct?? ate my way thru cali namely at hash hash a go go: 3628 5th ave san diego, ca 619.298.4646 a pancake the size of a table did us right and the breakfast plates- forget it. also had in n out burger and waaay too much food period. got to see some great old friends and went to get crunk with them at the dime on fairfax. liz hurled that night and the next morn so you know it was a grrrreat night. we cured hangovers w nate and al's: 414 n beverly drive bev hills, ca 90210 -to die for jew spot that's been there since 1945... deeeelish! memories of the car ride w maa are still making me laugh- what amused her so about me bring snacks on a 2 hr drive i'll never know! and theres nothing terribly funny about my flax seed tortilla chips!?

cheers to hating being back at work!

long weekend ends and my vaca starts tomorrow!

oh so hard to come back to work after a long weekend! good thing i only have to be here one day and then off to la jolla to see the fam! far too much drinking and FOOD this weekend (well i guess only the 4th- last night). our small roof party turned into a 300+ person multiple neighbor roof extravaganza on the 4th (our fresh fruit/vodka/151 combo is becoming quite the rage). brunch w bloody mary to boot pushed me over edge on the 5th and had to go home and nap even though i awoke that day at approx 1:30pm!! oops. what's a monday off for? at late night dinner last eve papacitos (999 manhattan ave at huron st 718.349.7292) there was a dj playing some good tunes and it was soooo hot inside (and on the outside deck) that i was relieved when my dining partner accidently spilled a cup of ice water on table and in my lap ;)  food was amazing and it was a rad cap off to the long weekend. me and my chubby feet also spent saturday and sunday at kent park chillin (or burnin' depending on how you look at it).

cheers to a one day workweek!!

+ that tuna burger is the absolute shit! from 202 shop and eat- 9th ave at 16th street right outside chealsea market
+ me and the naughtiest kitteh ever!
+ traffic and willburg bridge view from miko's roof

happy long weekend!

got some good zzz's last night and am successful in my latest creation of armor for my bed apparently. since when i got home last night from lara's the CAT had PEED on my bed again!! not this time you fucking kitty- have a bout 3 layers of painters plastic drop cloth on the bed. how sad is my life?? :( i cant even make my bed each day and have it look cute. out of control! am moving out and letting liz and fuss deal....

in other news i'm quite certain that i won't see fireworks this year since they are on the west side hwy/hudson which is BS. nothing for the east side?? are we that cheap and broke now?? guess so- i aint making my way over in that madness unless i had a friend w a private roof that looks directly at the macys display! bollacks! alas i am having people on the roof and drinkin jell-o shots and various other types of liquor and dancing my face off! happy 4th!!!

voyage and a half

yesterday bounced work around 3 to drive to bklyn, park at the L train, take it to 14th st where i grabbed the R train to whitehall and after some (damn good) pizza and beers hopped the ferry to governors island to see passion pit play! the "beach" at gov island is no beach but a lawn and the vibe and the outdoors is super chill and nice (and a lil creepy) since its a huge unoccupied old army base. now its preserved and cared for by a division of the parks dept and is a historical landmark.... you can go rent bikes and chill and walk around and eat and drink on most days but taking a pilgrimage with hipsters to see shows there is a voyage and a fight for ferry space and beer, beer and funnel cake lines. it was so much fun though and i'd do it again (for a really dope band)!

also heard we were promised jet packs - scottish band that kinda rocks and w a name like that... cmon!
