i want to train a dragon!
dragons, and vikings are cool. at least the ones in dreamworks 'how to train your dragon' are. great flick and great stuff in the animation. i heart toothless- the elusive night fury dragon! need some dragon toys asap bc i LOVE all the characters and kinda sad i have a halloween costume bc i woulda been a viking! all the dragons are pretty rad; i am quite fond of the little chubby one as well! each dragon was really well done and they all had their own attitudes. i need toothless in my life as after this weekend i very much want to fly away to a land by the sea and chill out! i partied like i was 21 this weekend and boy is mama in need of rest and cleanse :(
thankfully chris helped me recover by watching a marathon of tele and movies and eating mexican and pop corn! :)
ps- WILL i EVER return a movie on time??!
hate when historic things go away
its sucky that the chelsea hotel is closing/getting sold. really cool old landmarks in nyc should never go away or what will be left of the city's coolness? this place has been around for way too long and seen way to much debauchery to be turned into a boutique hotel!! arrrrrg just wiki this place and see the badassness and famous people that have called it home.

i myself had a brush w fame when visiting the home of ryan adams. sadly it wasn't a hey how ya doin visit but one with his record label president and friends. on the way out i got lost in the tunnel of weird art and creepy shit but it was cool none the less. so even though this place scared me i don't think it should close!

i LOVE halloween!
hallows eve is my favorite! maaaybe bc at midnight it's my b day but really because i love the season of pumpkin carving, COSTUMES and dressing in whatever you wish you were (or whatever makes you laugh or toots your horn) one day out of the year. this oct 29th at the 92nd st Y may have to happen. i fear that it will be a bunch of kids and parents but i am thinkin about going and i know 2 people that will COME WITH.

bacon-palooza is what i'm TALKIN about!
Friday, 10/15 through Sunday, 10/17
6 to 10 p.m. (Fri.); 2 to 11 p.m. (Sat.); 12 to 4 p.m. (Sun.)
Bacon Nation
The feeling that bacon has overstayed its welcome won't be a consideration at this weekend's Bacon-Palooza. Bacon-n-egg creams, bacon tempura, bacon vodka and bacon-flavored (what?!) envelopes are just the tip of this swine-covered iceberg at this event to benefit children with autism ($25 for a one-day pass; $65 for three days; click here to buy tickets). SoHo Gallery for Digital Art, 138 Sullivan St. (between Prince and W. Houston sts.); 212-228-2810 or bacon-palooza.org

pretty good mexican small plates in willburg
ventured to tecolote 63 grand street between kent and wythe ave 347.223.4599 w liz and chad last night where the guac and fesh chips were amazing and the 6 different things i ordered were pretty standard at these new places where they serve tiny tacos by the 2's. the best was actually the veggie! and second best was chicken. there was a pretty good queso dip (w chorizo) :) as well. good stuff and the place is large with great decor and a hidden private room on top in the back. then it was off to the woods for low key drinks and home to beddie by 11:30 or so. ding!
i'm gettin super excited for the weekend and a wee bit scared to stay in a haunted town and in a super haunted inn! yikes! let the willies begin!
stoked!

david hasselhoff's swanky video of course! WTF!?? in a very productive (and probably the most fun meeting i have had all week) where we were all business and discussed many aspects of social networking the hoff came up and i was told to check this video. wow. and ??? is all i have to say ;) enjoy....

no thanks!
for $5.5 mill (or any amount) i could never live like this. the "couch" thing looks cozy enough to sleep on but everything else is waaay to MomA (i don't wanna live in a museum). fake nursery-like (prob REALLY expensive $$) sheep and a grass carpet. weird. you can apparently tour rich peoples tribeca lofts for a small price....

beautiful flowers
daily candy sent me this link and pics of flowers that i am in love with. they are beautiful if you are in bklyn and need flowers for any occasion. i am now trying to find an occasion just to buy some! http://www.quatrecoeur.com/index_3.html
this weekend was packed with nonsense and good times. too much to blab about this early in the am bc am still tired. watched enough tv yesterday to give my eyeballs a heart attack and loved every minute of it. ate enough taco bell (finally) to put a toddler in the emergency room (also loved every minute of that) aaaand watched a fun group of knuckleheads play poker til about 4:30 am on friday. this weekend = NOT a waste! is it friday yet?
oh- also found an email this am from ex vwater team member matty (now attending the prestigious WK12 for widen kennedy) out west in portland. subject simply saying "if i had money i'd buy this for you" and a pic of this fancy pin! c'mon matty you don't have $0.99?? ha! its the thought that counts!
meh!

me like
today i feel... this sign ALMOST captures most of my many potential moods. today i feel= sad. because my munchkin is moving across the country (no not my man, my bff) and there's no more denial. no more sofa dinners and tv watching at 460 manhattan ave. BUT excited to go visit in san fran at the new spot! soooo, congrats laa! i am excited for your new adventures! xo

work strike
maybe i am on this fantasy kick this am bc i saw 'the social network' yesterday? the flick was very well done, and i'll hand it to timberlake for his portrayal of napster dickhead sean something or other.... jesse eisenberg can never do wrong in my book and played an awesome character which i partly hope is really how mark zuckerberg was in real life and partly not. i say partly not only bc i don't like that (in the movie) he seemed lonely and rich and that combo sucks. i think he is brilliant and witty and hope that he has some genuine friends and a loyal lady friend in his life that loves him for him.
either way- i'm a bright gal, i am confident i can come up w a billion $ idea- and truth be told, i don't care about $$ anyhow just wanna CHILL. is that so much to ask!!? clearly i am still asleep and in rainy brain mode.... nite nite.
10/1/10
rainy rainy
pretty sure i'll be on sofa w a bag of popcorn later if this weather keeps up. in other news i had no idea bettie page was a nashvillian! now i may want to be herfor halloween! decisions decisions.... in other other news- maybe i'll go the midnight showing of 'fear and lothing in las vegas' at the sunshine!? love that movie and love j depp and love movie snacks!
also love banksy's art and if i could have once piece in my house it would be one of his rats. too bad it would cost a mere 24k or so....
