during one of our craziest blizzards ever i flew out to atl to present at a meeting and flew back same day (nuts) deserved taco bell for dinner after that day!
hung my blinds in the new apt (and a set of curtains in the livin room) allll by myself!
mr b. took his first flight
played w the cutest dog of all time w v while we dog walked for a friend
had a sleep over (w mr b.) at laras hotel!!!! so excited to see her face and hug her

all i do is think about decor, what pots and pans i need, should i buy a sofa or a love seat, do i really want a toaster? can i fit that table i have by the window?.... on and on.... ahhhhhh. up at 6am today pondering these things! seriously. wow. obsess much? but alas- this is me and this is how i be. :)

moving is a scary task and IF things go well i may have to do it feb 15th. just in time to figure out how to use this wallpaper i found on daily candy a while ago ;) leave it to me to decorate without having gotten the apt yet! moving to manhattan ave as a nod to ban ban whom i miss vewwwwy MUCH! also this wallpaper reminds me of her! oh and i guess the article is about yoga (which i will need and never aford after the stress of the move) and not the actual wallpaper. happy hump day. wish me luck.

yumyumyum. cafe rakka
during yeterday's errands lunch was at cafe rakka , this hole in the wall spot is amazing! it's been there forever and i think i have been once before years ago but yesterdays lunch was stellar. i had the falafel platter w fava beans and hummus and some salad and babaganoush. $8! i LOVE mediterranean and had a massive craving while chillin solo yesterday. sometimes when i have a day off i sit on my arse all day and am happy to lazily do so. yesterday was productive day! cleaned the kitchen, de cluttered a bit and donated a trash bag of clothes frm my closet, ran the dreaded urban outifitters errand AND the sephora (only went to both bc of gift certificates i had to spend) AND saw a movie. the shoes i got at urban are VERY gaga-esque, we'll see if i keep em'. i liked being a productive city girl yesterday allll by myself.
having such puppy envy!
why do i want a dog so bad but i know better!?? this is the only book i own that i have read more than once. it was a gift and i could look thru it every day!

errands in the city get expensive!
ran around contributing to our economy on this fine MLK Jr. day. one stop included a $12.50 move tic to 'love and other drugs'. forgot how nice a move experience solo can be, but can't believe a movie is more than 12 bucks these days! i think i recall when it was $5 or so! back when i used to go to lions head in 5th grade! yikes.
sooo this film, not all exactly what you'd expect- theres much more to it. gylenballs (a stee serkin coined term that i will never stop using) is amazing as well as anne (!!?). my love for gylenballs was waning- he dated taylor swift for g-d sakes (and reese... barf). but after seeing this picture (and his ass in it) my crush is back, waaay back. in all seriousness this movie has humor (lol style), love, struggle, strength and passion. some serious emotional shit. i'll also say that the guy that plays jake's brother (i know i've seen him in some stuff before- i needed cc there to tell me from where) is quite a riot and will probably make his way into a lot more films this year (i hope). cheers to a short work week!

screw valentine
saw blue valentine a couple weeks ago and am just now coming down from the depression/anger enough to write about it. total new found obshesh w ryan gosling (and i GUESS homegirl as well) homegirl being michelle williams. they both played off each other amazingly well, the film was shot in a super cool very "reality/documentary-esque" way that made it just seem real. i hate to give things away because i get super stinky when people ruin a flick for me! and i know soooo many people read my blog so i fear a massive leak on the web BUT please it to say that the entire movie i just wanted to punch michelle in her head. i was angry at her for ruining the beautiful idea i have of happily ever after- and then further pissed when you realize she has no real reason for her cun*y actions the whole time. she's just a butthole. the end. but still-- it's worth a rental. cheers and happy friday!

911 unexpected surgery!
mr b. had an accident and lost his nose this weekend! :( i think i snuggied him too much. BUT no fear- i texted felicia and she is already workin on him. felicia is the only dr i trust for the job as she was a fashion student and i've seen her handy work and its impressive to say the least. if someone can create a line(s) of clothing they can operate on mr b.
i am now thinking about bringing him to work w me some days and maybe getting him a mini car seat. (kidding) but sadly not kidding about bringing him to work- its the little things like him that will get me thru the day. he's alllll better and the dr gave him some pain meds! you can see in this pic he's still havin' a bit of discomfort but he's MUCH better. thanks felicia!
in other news... this weekend went by too quickly and was packed w a vast amount of vodka, bloody marys, movies (mostly depressing ones) and CALIFORNICATION. sunday nights are back on track since i think i also like the 2 new shows that premiered on showtime as well ('episodes' and 'shameless') we'll see. friday night was cc's friend james' last night at his bar (vbar 225 sullivan st 212.253.5740) and home of 5+ years! so we went to have some last drinks, stopped for a slice and went to dove bar on 228 thompson st 212.254.1435 i forget how cozy and neat this bar is. same owner as night of joy (which cc informed me of) where we also need to go pay a visit soon. then the crew ventured to stillwater 78 e 4th st 212.253.2237 for the grossest vodka drink i've ever been served!
sat night was calexico 645 manhattan ve (bet norman and bedford) 347.763.2129 yummmm. as always! CRACK SAUCE. then off to matchless 557 manhattan ave THEN we ventured into the city to catch brian elmquists show only to MISS it (errrrrg) but find a fancy fun bar at the thompson hotel on the LES. where i almost got a room for the night $209 just bc i wanted to but didn't (yet). ummmm sunday was bloody mary time @ lodge 318 grand st @havemeyer 718.486.9400 washed tha car, and bought new headphones/talking ear piece thingy for my iphone w a gift cert from kendly (thanks boss!) and then to 24 cook st where i was a lazy p.o.s until now. clearly i have some time this am and no annoying meetings yet so i am bloggin my head off! clearly i have no grammar or punctuation cares in the world and am horrid at constructing sentences properly. ramble ramble ramble.... this week is going to be good guys! i don't know why but i feel productive and chipper (for right now :) OH- no wonder... i have a 3 day weekend comin up!
ps- WHY am i craving bagels!?? i never liked bagels--- fatty....

have you met mr binkerton!??
this is my favorite. he is a mouse. with floppy ears. someone very special brought him to me allll the way from pennsylvania (so he's a travelin mouse). mr binkerton aka binks aka binky aka i will NEVER grown up! i will always love stuffed animals. they are cozy and cute and comforting and.... CUTE. he was so cute while we were watching late night tv (real housewives ;) that i had to take a pic.its FRIDAY!!!!!

woah! its been a while... HELLO 2011
hmmm lets see... whats been done happened since i last blogged? well, its a new year! i've been to spa castle for an x mas day celebration with liz and lexi, been to robertas for the first time (love), bought a wii and want to do nothing but play donkey kong and mario for life, had a great nye @ maracuja dancin and being silly, had a flu, had a stomach bug, slept til at least noon each day of break, been to 5 leaves for a great burger, and received new years gifts from co workers today on a short work week (thank G-D). all in... 2011 looks like it'll be another rad year to be here!
