ROAD TRIP

well, its been a minute. a bit has happened, like the move back home home to the VILLE. its surreal and fun and nuts all around. new adventures in an old home town await!

i think the highlight of the whole road trip was hillbilly hotdogs - i'll drive the 4+ hrs for those dogs and burgers any day.

the bulleit distillery was pretty fun too, because ... bourbon!

worlds largest paint can? CHECK - mark that one off the ole bucket list.

i'll miss you NY, you little jerk face. shout out to katz's - a fine "last" meal, but i'll be back to visit you NY.

food friends and summer fun

TRIX is a great restaurant on Bedford Ave in the heart of Williamsburg and not many people know about it. Good thing only 2 people read the blog or the secret would escape! They have a myriad of types of food - Mediterranean vibes, and a great brunch to boot (shhhhh). I think its the fact that the decor is so UNhhipster that snobs and freaks dont give it a chance -- all the better for me and my crew.  http://www.trixnyc.com/

IN other news... upstate Bain b day weekend was a fun success. Our rental house was definitely rented a LOT by many folks, but i didnt mind the 'lived in' mildew-y vibe (for 2 nights at least) ;) and anywhere with a hot tub, movie theatre, sauna and glow sticks is fine with me! Happy 40th to MB

and in bitching about bklyn fashion - another one of my favs (Teddy's) is now dead to me. after a $14 burger that came with nothing (no fries, salad or even a pickle) and a $24 ($4 to add chicken and 4$ to add avocado!!?) i'm done.

had a feeling the new management would ruin it, but i gave it a shot....

have i told you about ESME? the place that opened on Manhattan Ave right across from our APT? i was PISSED when Papacitos went missing, but this is at least sorta making up for it finally. good cocktails, ambiance and great food. i now usually want to eat dinner here ve night and brunch on the weekend. try to spare ribs if its on the menu - or the skirt steak - or the veggie burger - or the carrot ginger soup. try it ALL

Halloween 2014

another great Halloween! This year though - I WON. I got Chris to dress up somehow, and not just in any costume... one with TIGHTS. whatta sport.

In keeping with tradition, skipped town for my b day and made it to cozy, tasty, and scary sleepy hollow! Someone special planned a full weekend of haunted houses, B&B's and special dinners :) shout out to mama faye and pop for giving the gift of the B&B!!! LOVE everyone - such special people in my life.
