rain rain go away

so since its apparently monsoon season and nothing fun is to be done liz, kate and myself ventured to mug's ale house 125 bedford ave (near n 10th) 718.486.8232 this spot is usually used for beer and getting sheesh faced but we decided to dine. the menu is pretty standard bar food and i had the salad special (black olives, tomatoes, onion, avocado) and added chicken. it was surprisingly delicious considering one should generally stick with burgers in a joint like this. i would recommend this spot for some good fairly cheap chow-only bummer- they didn't have chili! which is not only listed on the menu but listed as 'chili of the week'. arrrg

this morning i learned via kexp ny; my favorite ny am radio show) 91.5 on the fm dial, that it is iggy pop that sings 'lust for life' i also learned that that's what they are saying in the chorus (after many years of thinking it said g-d knows what). i can't decide if i like this song , its been bastardized by a handful of brands for commercial use. conor and i think it's been in an amusement park commercial and a retirement add for something like  fidelity or elder care.... boooo.
