food frenzy!

i didn't mention my easter sunday brunch! oh how could i forget!?? mom m and i went to vanderbilt plaza hotel for brunch and while we are not catholic (and forgot it was easter sunday) we got down on some food! the BALLROOM pictured here was decked to the 9's and filled with tables of food!! when i say filled i mean the following: 2 omelette stations at opp ends of the ballroom, a GIANT seafood table with lobster, crab legs, etc., a pastries table w bagels, muffins, croissants etc. cream cheeses, lox, jams.... a table with regular bfast foods (cheesy hash browns, bacon, sausage, french toast...) and a GIANT beautiful table of just desserts. the dessert table was my fav! there was a huge easter egg shaped cake in pretty pastel colors (i really wanted to just stick my entire head into this thing!) there were cream puffs, pies, mini cups of strawberry shortcake, cheese cake, puff's filled with cream. wow i am getting excited/sad just typing. i can't believe i didn't photograph- i guess i was out of my bloggy element and at home :(  as you can imagine this was my version of being in wonka's compound!
