the weekend is about closed...

it may be a first-- i m writing about my weekend on sunday night- rather than first thing monday am at work. it was a chill weekend. nuthin fancy.... friday was a girl night at the movie w the added bonus of m (well actually it wasn't a girls movie night since we all sat separate) while watching G-FORCE! um, best movie ever! well at least most satisfying in quite some time! my fav was tracey morgan (can you say oscar material!? -if you can win an oscar for voice overs!). and as much as i kinda dislike penelope cruz- i liked her in this as well.

saturday was a beautiful day and m and i ran all around the city to shop and ate brunch in greenpoint at river
barrel 160 franklin st (near kent street) 718.389.8881 it was delicious, and this is the 2nd voyage so i can safely add it to consistent yumm brunch spots. cole was w us all day so it was a fun one! he went to brunch and to all the stores in soho. he was so behaved and no matter where we were everyone was welcoming even though he's a 115lb big ass ball of love. i managed to spend way too much $$. why? bc i wasn't looking for anything and so i found everything i had been lookin for. i also realized i withdrew $120.00 and it was all gone after the following: dinner, 1 necklace, 1 banana split, 1 coffee, 1 water. ONLY in ny! the banana split was by far the best i have ever had. from the van leeuwen ice cream truck on bedford ave (near n 10th). this truck is no joke and has only about 6-8 flavors but they are all divine in quality and creaminess. most amazing and fresh split i have ever had.

sunday was lazy brunch at catherines in ft greene. another quality spot i have written about before w a great patio out back. then we went to lay in ft greene park for a sec. m had a family shiva cal so i went off on my own and walked around bedford a bit, sold some clothes at buffalo exchange (for a whopping $13.20) got an ice coffee at oslo and almost got in a horrible wreck w a dumbass in a green toyota. luckily i have decent reflexes. made it home to watch a couple of episodes of nyc prep and am anxiously awaiting dinner! papa johns where the EFF are you! damn.

happy sunday....
