last night i did some of my fav things w one of my fav people! watched ridiculous mtv shows (britney documentary-esque footage and the hills) ate great thai food delivered fresh from lily thai 615 Grand St Brooklyn, NY 11211 (718) 218-7522 AND baked a "cupcake" (ok the mix was for cupcakes but we opted to turn it into a cake; best move ever!) this mix is SO AMAZING. sprinkles famous cupcake mix (can be purchased online-http://www.sprinklescupcakes.com/order.html).
pictured is our masterpiece! she may not look like much but i am NOT foolin' this was the best red velvet i have ever had hands down! better than the famous cake man raven (or whatever the shit his name is; dude frm harlem that opened a shop in clinton hill bklyn). i am not just sayin this bc me and my homegirl made this beautiful specimen! it was PERFECT; so moist and a tiny bit undercooked in the middle so you got the rich flava and near the edges (which i totally swiped mad amounts of frosting from while lara was in the bathroom:) was perfectly fluffy and delicious! warning! red velvet STAINS...and when your cookin in a beautiful gourmet kitchen in a pic perf home take caution! lara's place is AMAZING-- i shall take some pics (or steal some from her) and share. this place is straight outta the pages of domino or architectural digest! with teh most amazing views of the manhattan skyline. BEAUTY!
as for the frosting! DO NOT underestimate the healing powers of a TUB betty crocker WHIPPED cream cheese frosting! wow! i am salivating as we speak but its 9:40 am a bit early for cake no? wait your right! NEVER is it too early for cake (or any other food for that matter). mmmmm
