ok, some may want to burn me at the stake (no pun-hahaha) for saying so....but i'd rather have steak at blt prime (111 e 22nd st betwn lex and park 212-995-8500) or even houston's (378 Park Ave S.New York, NY 10010 212.689.1090) HOWEVER, at luger there is a hidden gem that few probably know about: their desserts!! they serve something called "schlag" which is literally a HUGE bowl of whipped cream. pair it with their chocolate mousse cake (oreo crust) and you have an instant...um.... SMILE. i can't do this schlag justice by trying to describe it, but trust me when i say its a giant serving dish that you eat plain bc its so good or you mix it with their ice cream ("caramel cone", choc chip, vanilla...) and the mousse cake. needless to say i find myself dreaming about it today (at 8:52 am) after i have just had it approx 12 hours ago! mmmmmmmmm
